Fit

I FOUND IT. The answer. I don't know if any of you are like me, but I don't want to pay a monthly fee for a gym membership... yet, I still want to exercise and stay in shape. I've become completely attached to working out with my youtube fitness friends. My favorites are Cassey Ho - with Blogilates [aka, POP pilates] - and Laura London [her site]. They post awesome ab // leg // full-body exercises that you can do right in your living room. To that, I say YES. I love that it cuts out the commute & that it's so convenient.

I think the key with exercising is figuring out a style that works for you -- whether it's getting a gym pass, running or biking outside, playing a sport, exercising in your home-gym, or doing youtube-workouts in your living room!

I love that when you exercise, you feel better about yourself... and then you want to eat better, which also makes you feel better! It's just a beautiful cycle. I want to exercise steadily for the rest of my life. It's so important & I want to be sure to instill that healthy habit in my kids. I'm not one for diets, but regular exercise + making those healthier choices & eating good-for-you foods is pretty much my "diet" for life.

Here are two lunches I've cycled between lately:

Pear Gorgonzola Salad
[8 c. spring mix, 2 pears (peeled/cut), 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, 1/4 c. dried cranberries, Caramelized Walnuts (or just plain walnuts), Balsamic Vinaigrette (or whatever dressing you prefer... or none at all!)]

Oatmeal [with sliced apples, bananas & walnuts]

I'm addicted to HEALTHY LIVING!

Love it! I'm the same way. I don't want to pay to go workout at a gym (despite how nice they are), let alone drive to one! I have a dog that needs to exercise (no yard=cooped-up dog)so I just take her out for a jog each morning and a walk in the evening so we both get our exercise in. :) Yay for healthy eating too!
